June 2021 Hanover and Scituate TTHM tests

Results are in for latest Hanover and Scituate TTHM tests!

Continued excellence in performance of your True Health system.

All 6 Hanover THM (Trihalomethanes) test locations of our True-Pure THM line of water filtration systems in June 2021 showed an average TTHM (Total Trihalomethanes) levels are at or below minimum detection levels of 0.5 ppb versus the EPA maximum contamination level of 80 ppb. This makes 30 consecutive months of unmatched performance and customer peace of mind.
At the 4 Scituate test locations, all but one averaged below the minimum detection level. One location showed a reading of 8.1 ppb with a 27 month old carbon tank. This was one of the last tanks yet to be switched out because it was on a 3 year change out plan. I had switched to 2 year carbon tank change out schedules in September 2020 when the contaminant levels exceeded the EPA MCL limit of 80 ppb. I will be changing that tank out shortly as my results prove that 2 year change outs of the carbon tank is correct for the service plans. I want zero contaminants and that can only be attained through the type of rigorous testing only True Health performs.

My commentary on the results:

I am very pleased with these results. Without exception, they show very effective removal of harmful contaminants and the provision of healthy water to your family. The average TTHM reading of below minimum detection levels is the performance goal we strive to maintain for the life of your system..

Though I would always prefer “ND” across the board, we are dealing with many variables that change frequently. Hanover, Hingham, Rockland/Abington, and Scituate have had water treatment process adjustments over the last year – just to name a few. I don’t know what that meant to the water quality during the transition. We do know that your system is handling it well regardless of these fluctuations

My THM test at an install in Scituate confirms my understanding of the carbon purification performance and depletion rates. Even with 0.35 micron filtration and 40% more carbon than the competition, the carbon shows depletion after 27 months. That means that the competing systems probably can’t be effective after 6-12 months if even that.

I would also like to inform everyone that your system also is proven to remove all PFAs. I have spent over $3000 in PFA tests at a Hanover site over the last 2.5 years to be certain.

We will continue to take these tests every 6 months to gauge when carbon depletion allows TTHMs to approach 5 ppb. With far healthier overall water quality in your home, your body’s immune system is becoming stronger and stronger. This is happening because pure water is flushing processed toxins, obtained from almost everything but your water, from your body while delivering essential minerals as fuel for your immune system. Healthy water will prevent more sickness than any medicine can cure.
I look forward to our next tests this coming December. I will be adding 4 Hingham sites in the testing as they are right at the maximum contamination levels for THMs.
